About our Classes
The menu of classes we are currently offering is available here. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or to schedule custom or private classes for groups or individuals beyond those that are already on the calendar.cooklearnlive.com.
Classes are taught in our White Plains kitchen. Address and directions will be provided with class confirmations. Cook Learn Live also goes on the road to offer classes at your community organization or private home kitchen (additional fees may apply).
Private, custom designed, 2-hour classes in our White Plains kitchen start at $250.00, while off-site classes taught at client’s homes begin at $350.00. Prices include all basic materials, printed recipes and resources, as well as the finished dishes to enjoy after class and at home (if there are leftovers!) Materials fees may apply for certain classes depending on market prices of food. Pricing for shorter sessions—90-minutes and 60-minutes—is also available.
Discounts are offered for advance purchases of multiple classes. Gift certificates are available.
Please contact Jenna Lebowich directly at Jenna@cooklearnlive.com to discuss pricing for children’s and teens’ programs, non-profit groups, and special events such as private group classes and parties. We can work with your group’s budget to design a program that best meets your needs.
Nutrition counseling and education programs are available starting at $125.00 per hour. Counseling and hands-on cooking classes can be combined and customized to help you meet your health and nutrition goals. Please contact Jenna directly to discuss pricing and details.
A minimum of three students is required for us to run a scheduled group class. If only one person signs up for a scheduled class, he or she will be given the option to elect to take the class at the higher private rate before we cancel the class. This is necessary to cover the food costs for the class.
A credit card number is taken at the time of reservation as a guarantee. Our normal cancellation policy is a full refund for classes cancelled by the student with 48 hours notice, and 50% refund for cancellation with less than 48 hours notice.
Payment must be made in full prior to the start of class. We accept checks, major credit cards and cash.
All class participants (or their parents/guardians) must complete a Participant Release Form in order to take part in class.
Students should dress appropriately for a hands on cooking class. Please bring an apron, wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and keep hair pulled back away from your face.
Some disposable containers for leftovers will be provided, but for the sake of the environment please consider bringing a selection of your own containers for taking food home. A reusable bag is handy to bring, too.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time so that we can begin class promptly and get through the menu planned for the session with time to enjoy our food at the end of class.
Class menus may incorporate a variety of foods. Please let us know upon registration if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate them. We look forward to helping people enjoy eating and getting the most out of their food and want to help you to see your special needs as opportunities instead of barriers. Jenna is also able to adapt recipes and class menus for Kashruth, although the kitchen is not kosher.
